Message Series

What’s new and what’s next

At Nativity, we structure our homilies around message series that are typically 4-6 weeks in length. These message series are grouped around a common theme or topic designed to encourage the listener to dive deeper in their faith. Please take a look at our current series below!

The Pursuit of More

While all Scripture is inspired by God, some passages of the Bible stand out for their richness and depth of spiritual insight. The encounter between Jesus and the rich young man, found in all three Synoptic Gospels, stands out as one of those passages, offering layers of meaning. The episode speaks to many of the deepest longings of the heart as well as the struggles we all face in following Jesus. In this series on the rich young man, we will mine the story for all its spiritual insights and apply them to our lives.

ReDiscover YOUR WHY Walk In Your Purpose

Jesus said about himself
The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve – Matthew 20.28

At Nativity we talk about five key STEPS of discipleship, ways that we become more fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The first S stands for serve. To serve means to be of use to others, to provide a certain function for someone else. To serve here at Nativity, or whatever church family you belong to, is all about choosing to be of use to God by helping others come to know Christ better. But there are, in fact, still other benefits to serving. Our service can actually help us discover, or rediscover, our real purpose in life, our “why,” as in “why am I here?” and “who has God made me to be?”

In this series we’ll look at how to step into a life of service that isn’t about obligation but finding the significance we crave. We’ll acknowledge the obstacles to serving and focus on the opportunities and rewards of giving our time to serve in ministry and/or missions.
