What’s new and what’s next
At Nativity, we structure our homilies around message series that are typically 4-6 weeks in length. These message series are grouped around a common theme or topic designed to encourage the listener to dive deeper in their faith. Please take a look at our current series below!
Current Series
Belong.
In this series, we will look at our culture of invitation and why inviting others is such an important part of who we are as a parish. We invite because we value the connections we have found with God and with one another, and we want others to experience those same connections. Invitation is one of the clearest ways we can show people that we are for them and that there is a place for them here. We will remind people that we are building a community that is welcoming, outward-focused, and intentional about making room for others. Along the way, we will offer practical ways everyone can help people feel seen, welcomed, and connected, whether that means extending an invitation, starting a conversation, or simply noticing someone who may be new. This series will set the tone for the year ahead as we continue to grow as a parish that looks beyond ourselves and helps others belong, grow, and flourish.

The decisions we make and the way we live are shaped by how we see ourselves. We act out of our identity. That is why Jesus and the Scriptures remind us again and again of who we are in Christ. At every stage of life, we are called to cling to who God says we are and reject the labels the world tries to place on us.
In this series, we will explore what it means to ground our identity in the Lord. When we begin to see ourselves as God created us to be, we no longer feel the need to become someone else. Knowing our identity in Christ gives us a greater sense of health and well-being, helps us overcome our fears and failures, and empowers us to accomplish far more than we could ask or imagine.
Throughout this series, we will discover how an identity rooted in Christ gives us the stability, confidence, and grounding we need to live the life God created us to live.
